Beijing Hutong
The old part of Beijing. We took a touristy "tricycle" to visit a family. They had these really large and loud crickets in a cage, because they like the sound. The family lives in a small house consisting of a few buildings around a lovely courtyard.
The son raises carrier pigeons.

Ah! So that's who takes those tricycles around the Hutongs!
ReplyDeleteThere were some clearly single tricycles. But we had a bunch of them from one company. And there were other companies on the backs of some of them. Clearly a tourist thing. We saw a lot of cars in the hutongs. With board against the tires to protect from dogs relieving themselves.
